Runnability

Runnability describes the behavior of a paper during processing, for example during printing or on packaging lines. Good runnability is characterized by the fact that the paper can be processed quickly without tearing.

If a paper is less runnable, this can have various consequences. First and foremost, it cannot be processed and tears off. On the one hand, tears can cause the systems to come to a standstill, which can lead to a considerable loss of production time. This not only leads to additional costs, but also disrupts smooth processes. On the other hand, it also causes frustration among employees and customers. 

However, if you make sure during the paper production process that the paper has good runnability, there will be no problems on standard packaging lines - whether for bags or flow packs - or on printers.
