RUF Lebensmittelwerk KG has now taken another important step towards sustainable packaging solutions: The food manufacturer is now using Koehler Paper’s “Koehler NexPlus® Seal Pure MOB” for its porridge pouches. This flexible packaging paper is heat-sealable, features integrated oil barriers, and is especially well-suited for use as flexible packaging for dry food.

Koehler Paper will be running a broadly targeted campaign to raise awareness of this sustainable packaging material and its availability as a packaging option for the food industry. This large-scale awareness campaign is scheduled to start on April 15th, when the Koehler Group company will be holding a kick-off event to get things started.

With “Koehler NexPlus® OGR,” Koehler Paper is introducing an innovative packaging paper solution that has been developed specifically for the needs of restaurant chains. This paper product is not just the ideal choice for burgers, french fries, wraps, and other fast food products, but is also highly grease-resistant and recyclable to boot – an important step on the road to greater sustainability.

With a cross-industry initiative, Koehler Paper has lit the beacon for increased cooperation along the packaging industry’s entire value chain: More than 50 attendees, including branded companies, con-verters, machine manufacturers, and associations, took the company up on its invitation to the first-ever Paper Packaging Forum by Koehler Paper to discuss current challenges together and develop solutions that will make it possible to launch paper-based packaging more quickly.
