Five locations in Germany
At five production mills, with headquarters in Oberkirch and mills in Kehl, Greiz, Weisenbach and Willstätt, around 2,500 motivated employees produce specialty paper using state-of-the-art technology.
We supply our specialty paper and board to over 120 countries around the world.

Getting to Oberkirch
There are three paper machines at Oberkirch, which is the headquarter of Koehler Paper SE. Paper machine 5 is chiefly used to make carbonless and fine paper. Paper machine 4 specializes in the production of fine paper. Paper machine 3 is mainly used to produce edge banding board.
The headquarter in Oberkirch is home to the offices of the Koehler Paper SE and the Koehler Renewable Energy as well as production with 900 employees.

Getting to Kehl
The Kehl mill, which commenced production in 1988 and today operates as Koehler Kehl GmbH, uses three ultra-modern paper machines to produce thermal paper and decor paper. Paper machine 1 and paper machine 2 manufactures thermal paper. Paper machine 6 has exclusively produced decor paper since September 2000.
Production line 8 was commissioned in 2019. Flexible packaging paper and highly innovative barrier paper are produced on the world's most modern and efficient paper and coating machine. More than 500 employees work in Kehl.

Koehler’s mill in Greiz extends its product range to include high-grade, colored paper and board made of 100 % secondary fibers, placing it among Europe’s leading manufacturers. Paper-making has been going on for more than 400 years in Greiz. There are more than 100 people working in Greiz.
