Successful Trade Show Visit: Self-Labeling Apples with Blue4est® Pro

Labelexpo Europe is one of the largest trade events in the world for labels, product labeling and print-ing technology. Thousands of experts from over 120 countries visited the trade fair in Brussels from September 11 to 14. Koehler Paper and its Thermal Paper division were also represented at the fair with a high-quality booth to present its innovative Blue4est® Pro label paper.
At the booth, interested visitors could test the Blue4est® Pro paper on different printers and scales and then take home a self-labeled apple as a souvenir. The 77 m² booth was designed as a market stand with a real tree and fruit boxes and displays. It attracted a lot of attention.
Koehler Paper presents its innovative label paper at Labelexpo in Brussels
Blue4est® Pro is a paper-based label material known by the technical term Facestock. It is used for the new generation of environmentally friendly labels because it does not require any developer chemi-cals. This means it can be disposed of in recycled paper and is approved for direct food contact. Like the blue receipt, the blue self-adhesive label is instantly recognizable to consumers as recyclable because of its color. "We are pleased to now be able to complement the environmentally friendly Blue4est® product portfolio with the blue labels," sums up Sebastian Früh, division manager for thermal paper at Koehler Paper. The labels are currently used in fruit / vegetable scales.
