Koehler Paper’s innovative Blue4est® Pro certified for Toshiba Tec Singapore ‘s new All-in-One printer

Linerless labels free of chemical developers

Just like conventional Blue4est® POS paper, Blue4est® Pro is guaranteed to be free of chemical developers and can be used with normal thermal printers. Instead of a chemical reaction to heat, Blue4est® thermal paper uses a purely physical mechanism for its printing results. Tiny bubbles in the functional layer collapse when subjected to heat from the thermal printhead, which results in the black layer underneath becoming visible. Moreover, Blue4est® Pro features an additional layer that protects the paper from mechanical damage for use as label stock. Converted to linerless labels without release liner, Blue4est® Pro is a sustainable and cost-efficient solution as it reduces waste and provides more flexibility.

Comprehensive paper tests successfully completed

Intensive paper tests have been run in Singapore in different climatic environments over several months with linerless labels made from the new eco-friendly Blue4est® Pro thermal paper as well as the traditional KT 72 TC PF phenol-free thermal paper. Different criteria have been applied to simulate intensive use on the new TRST-L1.
