COLORline IQ certified for HP Indigo

“We were already satisfied with the high quality of our COLORline IQ digital printing paper,” said Tanja Soltau, Product Manager at Koehler Paper Group. “But it’s nice to have our opinion confirmed with this certification.”

Uncoated Recycled Paper with a Finished Surface

The certification came from Hewlett Packard Singapore, where the paper was tested and certified on the large HP Indigo 7000, HP Indigo 10000, and HP Indigo 12000 digital printing presses. This also means that COLORline IQ is suitable for the smaller printers from Hewlett Packard.
Koehler did, of course, expect to receive this certification, since the paper was developed especially for HP Indigo printers. This was already the case with the fresh-fiber version, the digital printing paper Icewhite IQ®. In order to achieve the brilliant print image, the surface of the paper is treated with a primer.

Digital Printing Paper Awarded the Blue Angel Ecolabel

During the certification process, the paper was tested for toner adhesion and other characteristics relevant to printing – and in the case of COLORline IQ, was found to be excellent. Incidentally, the IQ in Icewhite IQ® and COLORline IQ stands for Indigo Quality, and the certification now confirms this.

COLORline IQ stands out due to the fact that it is produced entirely from secondary fibers and has been awarded the Blue Angel ecolabel. It is suitable for digital printing of personalized documents in small batches, like calendars, business forms, sustainability reports, posters, displays, leaflets, mailings, brochures, business cards, product catalogs, stationery, invitations, and much more.

Also Suitable for Other Printing Presses

Koehler produces the paper in the standard grammages of 100, 160, 250, and 340 g/m², and other grammages can be requested at any time. In addition to the HP Indigo printing presses, COLORline IQ is also suitable for Xeikon, Xerox, Kodak Nexpress, Konica Minolta, and other digital printing presses.
