Wastewater

A chemicals management system developed by Koehler has made a considerable contribution to reducing the burden on the waters. This system evaluates the effects of the chemicals used on the wastewater treatment plant. In this way it is possible to detect critical ingredients early and to limit their effects.
Both the specific consumption of fresh water and the volumes of wastewater are well below the specified requirements.

The wastewater is purified in our own mill wastewater treatment plants. Constant optimisation of the multi-stage biological clarification systems has led to figures for the purified wastewater being considerably below the statutory limit values.
