Following the recent drastic increases of costs for energy, chemicals and transportation, Papierfabrik August Koehler AG is forced to increase their prices for Thermal Paper, Carbonless Paper and Fine Paper worldwide.
Prices for reels and sheets will have to go up by between 5% and 10% for deliveries from September 1st onwards.
Despite ongoing programs of cost cutting and efficiency improvements the profit margin of a number of segments is extremely low and in some even negative. This situation does not allow us to digest additional cost increases, as currently announced and applied by all major suppliers. As there is no expectation of a trend reversal further prices increases are inevitable.
